What happens on first launch

  3. 3A short setupIt asks for the permissions it needs and downloads the speech model. Dictation works as soon as that finishes.

macOS warns you on the first launch

The build is signed, but not yet notarized by Apple, so you will see "Apple could not verify this app".

System Settings → Privacy & Security

Press "Open Anyway". You only do this once.

Or with Homebrew

brew install --cask verbaide

It installs and removes the app with one command. It does not remove the macOS warning on the left — only notarization does that.

The app already works; the installer does not exist yet

This is not a promise for later: the build launches and runs, there is just nothing to hand out yet.

What is left is building the installer and signing the download. The file will appear here as soon as that is done.

What you will need
Windows 10 build 19041 or newerOr Windows 11. That floor is not a preference: capturing audio from other apps — without which there are no subtitles and no meeting recording — arrived in Windows with exactly that build.
An x64 processorOn ARM laptops (Snapdragon and similar) the app runs under the built-in emulation, but it computes more slowly: recognition and translation happen on your machine, not in a cloud. A native ARM build is being prepared separately.
Nothing else to installNeither .NET nor the Visual C++ Redistributable is required — the installer is self-contained, verified on a clean system.
