What this page collects
The "Get early access" and "Request support" forms on this page collect the email address you type in, plus a short note describing what you selected (plan, message volume, or platform).
What it's used for
Your email is used only to reply about your beta request or support request — a transactional reply, not a newsletter. It is not added to any marketing list. If that ever changes, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
We keep the email and note from a form only for as long as it takes to answer it and, after that, in case you follow up. Email us and we'll delete or send you a copy of what we have sooner.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic — how many people visit and roughly where from. It only starts, and only sets its own cookies, after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; declining keeps it off. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer, on any page. We don't run any other tracking beyond Analytics and the reCAPTCHA check below.
reCAPTCHA
Both forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which runs a background check when you submit and shares a risk score with us. See Google's privacy policy and terms of service for how Google handles that check.
What the app sends over the network
VerbaIDE never uploads your audio, or the content it transcribes, translates or styles. Speech recognition, translation and tone rewriting all run on your Mac, on models stored there. There is no history of your dictations on our servers, because none is ever sent.
The app reaches the network only for the following, and none of these requests carries audio or language content:
- Signing in, and creating an account during first-run setup — your email, your password, and a signature made with your installation key.
- Fetching the licence token that says which features you paid for.
- Usage counters, and only if you agreed to them. These are numbers and fixed labels: how long a dictation took, how many characters came out, which mode, language, preset and speech model were used. Never the text itself, and never the name of the app you dictated into.
- Checking for a new version — only when you press the button in About. The app never checks on its own.
- Translation dictionaries from cdn.verbaide.com: the catalogue when you open Settings or pick your languages, the dictionary files when you download them. Both without cookies or authorization headers.
- The two speech recognition models, from huggingface.co. Dictation does not work at all until the first one is downloaded, including on the free tier.
- The local styling model — its catalogue and manifest from cdn.verbaide.com, its weights from huggingface.co — and only once you have asked for the download.

Accessibility permission (the Mac app)
VerbaIDE asks for the Accessibility permission on macOS for one reason: to insert the text it recognized into the field you're already typing in, wherever that is. It does not use that permission to record keystrokes or monitor input in other fields or other apps — dictated text only moves when you hold the hotkey and speak.
Payments, once paid plans launch
When VerbaIDE ships paid plans, buying one hands your billing details — name, email, card or bank details, country — to Paddle, our reseller and the payment processor, so it can run the charge, calculate tax and issue receipts. Paddle handles that data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy; we only see the order status and receipt Paddle sends back to us, never your card or bank details.
